Exploring the Kingdom of God
Today we all experienced worship with Kelsi, who led us in prayers with our voices, bodies, and thoughts. We sang about the Kingdom of God and learned that is apart of each and every one of us. The first day for the Sprouts (Kindergarten to Grade 1-2) was filled with fun. They listened and wondered to the story of the Mustard Seed, and continued to work with the story during their playtime. They also made beautiful watercolour paintings using straws to blow the paint around. This group is so creative! They also worked on their covenant, and talked about the ways in which they can make their
Camp Spirit group a safe and welcoming space. Thank you to Emily, Elysia and Joel for leading the Sprouts! And for Kelly who is the group volunteer!
The Trees (Grade 3-6) sang along in worship and excelled in the Rhythm Prayer led by Kelsi. Virginia told the story of the Mustard Seed and they shared their wonderings with each other. The Trees spent a long time on their covenant, coming up with important ways to build the Kingdom of God this week. They loved music time with Kelsi and sang out strongly! Our Leaders in Training played a fun game of “get to know you Jenga” and worked on their covenant. They joined Kelsi in leading worship with the other classes and showed incredible leadership in walking to the park!
