“Each of the world’s religions may seem foreign to ‘outsiders,’ but to an ‘insider,’ each represents a means by which both a particular society and creation as a whole can be understood more completely.”
Our adult study series this fall is an opportunity to come and explore another six of the world religions, and to learn more about faith in our neighbours. Each week will begin with a prayer from the tradition that is being focussed on, and participants will have an opportunity to share with one another their past experiences with that faith tradition. We will then view a video together that explores the history, texts, traditions and holidays of each faith, and end with some questions to think about and reflect upon. The hope is that as we explore some of the major religions of the world, we will gain a renewed understanding of the diverse world around us and of each other as human beings. Come and learn more about other faiths. All are welcome! The study group will meet Wednesdays in the Community Hall from 5-7 pm. Each session in stand-alone, so you do not need to attend all of them.
